Preferred also comes with a free Starter account while you are a Preferred affiliate (or 50% off Pro if you choose it), and adds two custom vanity codes alongside your auto code. Preferred is by application: 10,000+ combined followers, or a photo or video group you run.
How do referral programs work?
You share a referral link or code, and when someone signs up through it and pays for a plan, a share of each payment comes to you. The signup is credited to your code when they join, and commission starts with their first payment.
How do affiliate commissions work?
Commission is your rate times what the referral actually pays, so it moves with them. An upgrade raises it and a downgrade lowers it. An annual payment earns on the full annual amount, as long as it falls within the 12 months. If they cancel, the payments stop and so does the commission, and if a payment is refunded, the commission on it is reversed.
Is the commission recurring?
Yes, for 12 months per referral: commission on a referral ends 12 months after that referral's first payment. Each referral runs on its own clock, so people you refer later keep earning after earlier referrals finish. Milestone bonuses you have earned are yours to keep.
When do affiliates get paid?
Commission on each payment is held for 30 days, then paid by bank transfer through Stripe once your balance reaches $50. A smaller balance carries forward to the next payout; nothing is forfeited.
